DOG'S LOVE says no to animal testing

We love animals. Whether they are our own or not. Animals are entitled to respect and decent life. That is what we are committed to. Animal testing should be abolished, because unfortunately, current statistics show it is still an unfortunate reality. The international organisation PETA has been fighting for animal rights since 1980. At DOG'S LOVE, we are particularly proud that all our products are PETA approved. We explain here why this is even better than "animal-friendly".

PETA -- the world's largest animal welfare organisation

PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The association was founded in 1980 in the United States. It now has an extensive network with locations all over the world.

In addition to educational work and campaigning to end animal cruelty and testing, PETA awards the “PETA Approved Global Animal Test Policy” seal to companies that can guarantee their entire production is 100% free from animal testing. DOG'S LOVE is one of these companies.

Why "PETA Approved" is better than "animal-friendly"

From time to time, the label "animal-friendly" can be found on individual goods in the trade. However, if you don't read "PETA Approved" directly next to it, you can't be sure that this claim is really true. The reasons for this are both legal and political. Officially, according to the so-called Cosmetics Regulation, neither cosmetics nor their ingredients may be tested on animals in the EU. This has failed, however, due to the existence of another regulation. The Chemicals Regulation (REACH) requires that various ingredients be tested on animals. This undermines the ban in the Cosmetics Regulation. So Europe still isn't free of animal testing either.

"PETA Approved" was created as a certification for companies that truly ensure that no animal testing is involved in any step of their production process. PETA maintains a list of all "PETA Approved" companies, which is constantly updated and publicly available. These establishments neither commission nor condone animal testing within the scope of the Chemicals Regulation. Instead, the brands find 100% animal-friendly solutions to offer their customers the best quality with a clear conscience.

Pet food and animal testing

At DOG'S LOVE, we vouch for the fact that all dog grooming products such as dog shampoo, paw balm for dogs and Canna Canis oil as well as all accessories, such as the dog bone toy, are produced without animal testing. The same applies to the entire range of pet food.

Why should this be highlighted? Unfortunately, many people are not aware that animals are often used as "guinea pigs" in laboratories elsewhere to produce pet food. We cannot reconcile this with our morals. For us, integrity means thinking of the welfare of all animals.

DOG'S LOVE is PETA Approved and proud

"PETA only includes pet food manufacturers with clear policies against animal testing in its approved list." This is what the regulations for the "PETA Approved" seal say. Ingredients, formulations and finished products may not be tested on laboratory animals. An important addition: this also applies to future endeavours. DOG'S LOVE makes a promise to all two- and four-legged friends to happily adhere to this mission statement for all time.
